We love and miss our family so much, but are grateful we are able to stay in touch and watch the kids as they grow. Ivy has become our beautiful little princess, Elijah is 100% action and Gideon quite the artist and musician. Although we will get to see them in July, three more months is just too many. We love them all!
E, D and Gideon continue to do well. Gideon recently started taking cello lessons. So far he has earned his real cello, and is learning to pluck the strings. He is also working on mastering a perfect bow hold. It is such a joy to talk to him since he is so expressive and has a wonderful vocabulary. Of course listening to his Mom talk all day we know why. D & E continue to do good. Elina is still staying at home with Gideon and loving it.
JD, R, Elijah and Ivy are also doing great. They now live in Little Rock where JD recently got a new job. He loves his new position since it involves what he loves to do, programming. They really enjoy living in Little Rock. Of course after 10 years in Searcy and 8 months in Jonesboro, the “big city” has been quite the change. Elijah continues to grow and run faster every day. When we Skype with them, he uses much of the time to show us how fast he runs. Ivy is precious and yesterday we got to witness her stand up from a sitting position and stay there for quite some time. Rachel thinks she will be walking by the time she turns 1.
Trish and I are doing well. We have been busy traveling and then getting caught up for the last couple of months. Trish’s Mom is staying with us for the next 3 months. As I tell every one, “Lucy is my favorite mother-in-law.” She will soon be 86 years old and although she moves a little slower, mentally she is still pretty sharp. During our last trip to Trinidad, I was infected with both the Dengue Virus and Typhoid. I am on antibiotics for the Typhoid, and thankfully I am not exhibiting symptoms of the disease. I have no choice but to let the Dengue take its course, and I’m glad to report that the worst is behind me. I’m hopeful that I’ll be back to normal soon. Please keep my and Trish’s health in your prayers.
Trish and I are so thankful for our family. Please keep us in your prayers as we grand parent long distance. Thanks!
Butch and Trish
